About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking a reliable Full-Time Forklift Operator for its Ypsilanti, MI service center. The position works the 3rd shift (Sun 10 PM‑6:30 AM, Mon‑Fri 1:30 PM‑10 PM) and offers a starting wage of $25.36 per hour.
Key responsibilities
- Move freight safely in and out of enclosed trailers up to 53 feet long.
- Operate a forklift on a roofed, non‑climate‑controlled dock.
- Load and unload trailers while adhering to safety and efficiency standards.
- Maintain accurate records by reading manifests and interacting with computer displays.
Required profile
- Ability to bend, lift, and stoop without difficulty.
- Dependable and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Prior forklift experience, preferably in a high‑volume setting.
- Basic computer literacy for reading manifests and displays.
