Full-Time CT Technologist – 3 12‑Hour Days – Jeff Hwy

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a dedicated CT Technologist to join its imaging team on the Jeff Hwy campus. This full‑time position works three 12‑hour shifts per week, providing routine CT scans while ensuring patient safety and high‑quality diagnostic images.

Key responsibilities

• Verify physician orders, explain procedures to patients, and operate CT equipment according to protocol, including IV placement.
• Review images for diagnostic quality, perform quality‑control checks, and transmit results using the radiology information system.
• Assist with departmental operations such as inventory management, staff scheduling, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain strict confidentiality, adhere to radiation safety standards, and comply with federal, state, and accreditation regulations.

Required profile

• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registration (or eligibility within 90 days) and current state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required skills

• Operation of CT imaging equipment and familiarity with CT procedures.
• Proficiency with Windows‑based applications and radiology information systems.
• Computer data entry and retrieval skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
