Full-Time Biometric Access Control Officer

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Access Control Officer in Kansas City, Missouri. The officer serves and safeguards clients across industries such as logistics and distribution by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials and managing visitor access while remaining visible and communicating professionally with employees and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors and personnel by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, contractors, visitors and delivery personnel, verify credentials and keep access records.
• Respond calmly to access-related incidents, alarms and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen, as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state and local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
