About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and LSU Health Sciences Center‑Shreveport are seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible General Neurologist for a full‑time academic appointment. The role combines high‑volume clinical care with teaching and leadership opportunities within a leading regional neurology department.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality clinical care to patients with a broad range of neurological conditions.
• Educate medical students and neurology residents, supervising clinics, grand rounds and didactic conferences.
• Manage a large patient volume while identifying opportunities for departmental leadership.
• Mentor faculty and residents, offering clinical expertise and guidance.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology.
• Eligibility for a Louisiana medical license (or ability to obtain one).
