Front End Engineer (Photoshop Team)

About the role

Adobe is seeking a Front End Engineer to join the Photoshop team within Product Engagement Systems in San Jose. The role involves designing, building, debugging, and delivering complex client‑side systems that power next‑generation digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front‑end features using TypeScript, JavaScript, React and/or Web Components.
• Implement AI‑assisted user experiences by integrating LLM or other AI service endpoints via REST APIs.
• Manage CSS styling, layout, and debugging across multiple browsers.
• Configure and optimize modern build pipelines with tools such as Vite or Webpack.
• Participate in CI/CD workflows, including Jenkins pipelines and log analysis with tools like Splunk.
• Debug client‑side issues using browser developer tools and log outputs.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern module systems (ES Modules, basic CommonJS).
• Experience with React and/or Web Components.
• Solid understanding of CSS fundamentals, including cascade, specificity, and inheritance.
• Familiarity with build tools (Vite, Webpack) and Node.js‑based pipelines.
• Exposure to CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate within a diverse engineering team.
