French Teacher (High School)

About the role

Reedy High School is seeking a dedicated French Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction to high‑school students. The successful candidate will create engaging learning experiences that support students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth while fostering a love for the French language and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement lesson plans aligned with Texas Education Agency standards and district curriculum.
• Adapt instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and individual student needs.
• Collaborate with special‑education teachers to modify curricula and support IEP goals.
• Assess student progress through formal and informal testing and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Supervise teacher aides, volunteers, and oversee extracurricular or sponsorship activities as assigned.
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment and manage student behavior in line with the Student Code of Conduct.
• Communicate regularly with parents, administrators, and colleagues to support student success.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements for French.
• Demonstrated competency in French language and literature.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning atmosphere.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Texas curriculum standards for French.
• Ability to develop and deliver differentiated lesson plans.
• Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance instruction.
