FP&A Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

Avis Budget Group is offering a 10-week summer internship in its FP&A function within the Americas, part of its Accelerate internship program. The program lets interns explore different parts of the business and network with senior leadership while working on finance tasks at the World HQ in Parsippany, NJ. The internship is open to students actively enrolled in college or university.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and perform analysis and account reconciliation
• Develop monthly forecasts and a business plan for revenue and expense accounts
• Help prepare and automate management reports
• Support month and quarter close processes
• Review monthly income statements to reconcile forecast to actuals
• Work on ad-hoc projects and deliver a value-driving project presented to business leaders at the end of the internship

Required profile

• Active enrollment at college or university
• Ability to work 35 hours per week at the World HQ in Parsippany, NJ
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-pressure, constantly changing environment
• Detail-oriented, with strong ownership of work and good teamwork
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Proficiency to advanced computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Time management and good sense of urgency

The hourly rate for this position is $30. The internship is advertised as a general position and may be with any affiliate of Avis Budget Group.
