FP&A Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

Avis Budget Group is offering a 10-week summer internship in its FP&A function within the Americas, part of its Accelerate internship program. The program lets interns explore different parts of the business and build a career foundation. The internship takes place at the World HQ in Parsippany, NJ, 35 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and carry out account analysis and reconciliation
• Develop monthly forecasts and a business plan for revenue and expense accounts
• Help prepare and automate management reports
• Support month-end and quarter-close processes
• Review monthly income statements to reconcile forecast to actuals
• Build a project that delivers value and insights and present it to business leaders at the end of the internship
• Take part in ad-hoc projects

Required profile

• Active enrollment at a college or university
• Ability to work 35 hours a week on site in Parsippany, NJ
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, high-pressure, constantly changing environment
• Detail-oriented, with strong ownership of work
• Team player who can also work independently

Required skills

• Proficiency to advanced computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
