Forward Deployed Operations Leader

About the role

The Forward Deployed Operations Leader is a hands‑on operator embedded across Shield Technology Partners' portfolio companies. You will own P&L performance, drive revenue growth, margin expansion and operational improvement while partnering with corporate finance and local leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own the P&L for assigned Shield companies and deliver revenue, margin and EBITDA improvements.
• Partner with corporate finance to manage forecasts, budgets and monthly performance tracking.
• Identify and execute growth levers such as sales enablement, new service lines, cross‑sell opportunities and efficiency initiatives.
• Standardize processes and drive adoption of Shield’s AI platform across portfolio companies.
• Serve as the central operational point of contact for new company onboarding and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Use data, automation and low‑code/no‑code tools to solve problems and build solutions.
• Travel up to 50% and maintain regular onsite presence in New York or San Francisco.

Required profile

• Strong bias toward action and data‑driven decision making.
• Proven experience managing P&L and driving operational improvements.
• Ability to influence senior leaders and manage change in established organizations.
• Comfortable working with AI, automation and modern low‑code/no‑code tools.
• Willingness to travel frequently and maintain onsite presence.
