Forklift Tire Technician (Service Technician - ATS)

About the role

Michelin North America, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Tire Technician for Solideal Onsite Service, which offers maintenance services for forklift fleets. The technician works day shifts (8-hour shifts, start times may vary) with overtime available after 40 hours, in an industrial setting. Mechanical experience is preferred but not required, as training is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Install forklift and other material handling tires in-house and onsite using a hydraulic tire press.
• Dismount and mount tires and service the customer product according to the customer order.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep all equipment, including service vehicles, clean.
• Report to the Service Manager any material that does not meet quality standards, equipment needing maintenance, site delays, potential equipment issues, accidents or safety hazards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, with lift-assist available (forklift, lift table, lift gate).
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a urine drug screen and DOT physical, and a background check, as a condition of offer.
• Regular bending, crouching, squatting, reaching and prolonged standing.

• Punctuality and effective time management.
• Knowledge of MS Office and an ERP system is a plus but not required.
