Forklift Tire Technician

About the role

Michelin North America, Inc. is hiring a Forklift Tire Technician for Solideal Onsite Service in Cuyahoga Heights, Ohio. The technician works with partners who provide customized maintenance services for forklift fleets, ensuring safe operations and maximized uptime. Training is provided for any skills needed, and mechanical experience is preferred but not required.

Key responsibilities

• In-house and onsite installation of forklift and other material handling tires using a hydraulic tire press.
• Dismount, mount tires and service the customer product according to the customer order.
• Perform preventive maintenance and keep all equipment, including service vehicles, clean.
• Report to the Service Manager any material that does not meet quality standards, equipment needing maintenance, site delays, potential equipment issues, accidents or safety hazards.
• Give input for customer service and operational improvement, and take ownership of the position function.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds; lift assist is available.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass a urine drug screen and a DOT physical, and a background check, as a condition of employment.
• Ability to work independently, with punctuality, attention to detail and effective communication with customers.

Required skills

• Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and an ERP system is a plus, but not required.
• Physical demands include regular bending, crouching, squatting, reaching and prolonged standing.
