Food Service Coordinator – In‑School (No Nights/Weekends)

About the role

Red Rabbit is seeking a detail‑oriented Food Service Coordinator to act as the operational bridge between the kitchen team and school partners. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will ensure meals are served accurately, safely, and on time while supporting compliance with the National School Lunch Program.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily meal service, portioning, staging and presentation to meet program requirements and visual standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized service line and monitor food temperatures, sanitation and overall kitchen organization.
• Maintain accurate meal counts, operational records and documentation; promptly flag any discrepancies.
• Serve as the day‑to‑day liaison with school partners, communicating updates to kitchen staff, the Head Chef and the District Manager.
• Support compliance with NSLP requirements, company policies and dietary accommodations, including allergy protocols.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in an operational or administrative role supporting cross‑functional teams.
• Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a passion for improving nutrition in schools.

Required skills

• Proficiency with basic computer systems and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Ability to lift 50 lb regularly and follow HACCP and food‑safety standards.
