Food & Beverage Supervisor (PM Shift)

About the role

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, a luxury property in Tucson's Catalina Foothills with 398 guest rooms, five dining outlets, spa, recreation and event spaces, is hiring a Food & Beverage Supervisor for the PM shift. The supervisor leads a team across dining and beverage outlets, overseeing operations, quality and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of assigned food and beverage outlets or shifts and coordinate with kitchen staff for timely food preparation and delivery
• Monitor service quality, food presentation and guest satisfaction, and gather and analyse guest feedback
• Supervise, schedule and delegate tasks to servers, bus persons, food runners and bartenders, and hold pre-shift meetings
• Assist with planning special events, banquets and private functions, and support recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members
• Greet guests, address inquiries and resolve complaints promptly
• Monitor inventory and stock levels, track sales, control waste and implement portion control
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations and regular attendance

Required profile

• At least one year of food and beverage experience; prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Thorough understanding of food and beverage techniques, service standards and sanitation regulations
• Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Able to lift and carry food service trays weighing 35+ pounds

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic financial reporting
• Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
