Floor Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Floor Technician to join our facilities services team. The role involves maintaining clean, safe, and well‑presented floor surfaces in a variety of commercial environments.

Key responsibilities

• Remove stains, extract residues, clean hoods, strip, wax, scrub, repaint, seal and coat floor surfaces.
• Mop, polish, clean and repair both carpeted and hard‑floor areas using appropriate equipment and chemicals.
• Sweep, mop and vacuum floors and stairs; move furniture or large objects when required.
• Keep the custodial closet organized and follow manufacturer specifications for chemicals and equipment.
• Ensure doors and windows are secured, report safety hazards or repair needs to the supervisor, and follow all company policies.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Ability to lift containers up to 49 lb and transport items weighing 15‑25 lb.
• Physical capability to bend, stretch, reach above head and below waist regularly.
• Read and interpret safety, operation and maintenance documents, typically in English.
• One year of experience in floor care is preferred.

Required skills

• Operation of floor‑cleaning equipment and tools.
• Proper handling and mixing of cleaning chemicals.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
