Floating Service Technician – The Aspen

About the role

Greystar is seeking a proactive Floating Service Technician to support The Aspen community. You will ensure that apartments, common areas, and amenities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests and complete preventative maintenance work orders, diagnosing issues and performing repairs in line with company policies and code requirements.
• Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
• Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
• Document all service activities accurately and promptly to ensure proper tracking.
• Maintain grounds and common areas by trash removal, pressure‑washing breezeways and pool areas, general cleaning, and occasional painting of curbs and signage.
• Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts whenever possible and using materials efficiently.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade certifications are a plus.
• Experience in residential or commercial property maintenance preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety protocols, and communicate effectively with residents and team members.

Required skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Use of hand and power tools.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Inventory management.
• Pressure‑washing and painting techniques.
