Floating Service Technician - Prosper Place

About the role

Greystar is hiring a Floating Service Technician for its Prosper Place property. The role performs technical and mechanical work so that the buildings, grounds, amenities and common areas meet the company's standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety and functionality. The position is onsite and requires a flexible schedule, including call-outs during evenings, weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing problems and repairing them according to policies, safety standards and code requirements.
• Carry out the make-ready process for vacant apartments: pre-move-out inspection, punch list, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, finishing maintenance and inspecting completed work.
• Track inventory, return unused items and notify the maintenance supervisor of re-order needs.
• Complete documentation and paperwork accurately so service requests can be tracked.
• Help maintain grounds, common areas and amenities: pick up trash, pressure-wash breezeways and pool areas, clean and paint curbs and signage as needed.
• Support cost control by fixing rather than replacing parts and using materials and tools efficiently.
• Attend safety meetings, complete OSHA and other safety training, and report accidents and incidents promptly.
• Periodically check contractor and vendor work against quality standards and help with routine property inspections.

Required profile

• EPA certification Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (for certified service technicians).
• All certifications required by state and local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property where applicable.
• Able to stand, walk or sit for long periods, climb ladders, work in all weather and lift up to 25 pounds alone and 50 pounds with help.
• Flexible schedule, including call-outs at night, weekends and holidays; occasional travel to other properties or training.
