Floating Community Manager (Active Adult)

About the role

The Floating Community Manager provides leadership and operational support across multiple multifamily or Active Adult communities, ensuring business continuity, operational excellence, and an exceptional resident experience. This position requires frequent travel to support community transitions, staffing needs, new acquisitions, and special projects.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee on‑site teams, daily operations, and community resources to meet financial, occupancy, and operational goals.
• Respond promptly to resident concerns, handle escalated disputes, and maintain high standards of customer service.
• Prepare and present financial performance reports, manage budgets, and drive NOI through rent growth and expense control.
• Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of team members.
• Supervise leasing activities, set rent rates, and ensure timely rent collection and invoicing.
• Conduct regular community inspections, oversee maintenance, vendor contracts, and capital projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Real Estate, or related field.
• 4–6 years of property management, sales, marketing, and customer service experience.
• Proven ability to lead teams, solve problems quickly, and travel frequently.
• Strong knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, and related regulatory compliance.

Required skills

• Experience with property management software and financial reporting.
• Understanding of leasing processes, rent collection, and budget forecasting.
