Fleet and Commercial Light Duty Truck Technician

About the role

Join Ricart Automotive as a Fleet and Commercial Light Duty Gas and Diesel Truck Technician, working in a rapidly expanding service repair workspace. You will perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of trucks while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Complete MPI inspections for service advisors, providing estimates and explanations.
• Test drive vehicles with customers to evaluate noise or vibration concerns and after repairs to verify issues are resolved.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles based on identified issues and approved estimates.
• Document additional work needed, complete required repair paperwork, and ensure vehicles are returned clean and secured.
• Stay current on manufacturer information, recalls, and training.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with fewer than 6 points and no major violations.
• 1 to 3 years of experience as a service technician (manufacturer certifications preferred but not required).
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in varying temperatures and noise levels.

Required skills

• MPI inspection procedures.
• Vehicle test‑drive evaluation.
• Diagnostic and repair techniques for gas and diesel trucks.
