Finished Goods Inspector

About the role

As a Finished Goods Inspector you will ensure that medical devices and components leaving the production line meet all quality, labeling, and packaging specifications. You will work closely with production teams and quality engineers to maintain high standards of product integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of finished medical devices according to established procedures.
• Verify product labeling, packaging, and serialization for accuracy.
• Document non‑conforming materials, defects, and discrepancies using quality control forms.
• Perform in‑process inspections to monitor quality throughout production.
• Review production records, batch documentation, and related paperwork for completeness.
• Collaborate with production personnel and quality engineers to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean, organized inspection area in compliance with GMP and safety regulations.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Communicate inspection results clearly to relevant stakeholders.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1‑3 years of quality control or inspection experience, preferably in a medical device or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and quality specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle defects.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and familiarity with quality management systems.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lb, and perform repetitive tasks.

Required skills

• Use of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers.
• Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation.
• Data entry in quality management systems.
