Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious, team‑oriented Financial Controller to oversee accounting and financial activities for our Aurora and Denver operations. As a key member of the leadership team, you will drive profitability improvements and provide strategic financial insight.

Key responsibilities

• Manage revenue recognition, job costing, inventory control, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes and produce accurate financial statements.
• Partner with the General Manager and Division Controller on forecasts, revenue planning, profitability studies, and expense analysis.
• Coordinate with service, sales, dispatch, fleet, purchasing, safety, and HR to assess fiscal impact of initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with corporate financial controls and address audit findings.
• Prepare monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and oversee ad‑hoc reporting.
• Develop, train, and manage the accounting team, including payroll oversight.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of accounting experience with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to communicate financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.
