Financial Controller – Global Controllership Lead

About the role

Avery Dennison RBIS is seeking a senior Financial Controller to lead controllership, accounting, and reporting functions across its global operations. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on management of finance processes, ensuring compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and local tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead controllership, accounting, financial reporting, group reporting, external & internal audit, and compliance.
• Prepare entity accounts in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
• Oversee General Ledger, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Asset Management, and Project Accounting.
• Manage statutory reporting, direct & indirect taxes, legal compliance, and corporate secretarial functions.
• Maintain relationships with tax offices, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Conduct post‑cost analysis, standard costing benchmarking, and financial performance calculations (MBR, Flash, FCF, DPO).
• Support FP&A, operations, supply‑chain finance, and AR/Collections to optimize working capital.
• Perform SOX documentation reviews and controls testing across key cycles.
• Lead system automation projects, including capex payment workflows and Oracle MFG module implementation.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 10+ years post‑qualification experience in an MNC or manufacturing environment.
• 8–10+ years in a controllership or financial management role within a similar industry.
• Professional CMA or ACCA certifications are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, local tax regulations, VAT, and corporate secretarial frameworks.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Hyperion, Oracle ERP, SAP ERP, and Oracle MFG module projects.
• Expertise in IFRS, US GAAP, SOX documentation, and ERP implementation.
• Proficiency in tax compliance, VAT handling, and audit processes.
