Financial Capabilities Coordinator

About the role

The International Rescue Committee seeks a Financial Capabilities Coordinator to support refugees and immigrants in Tucson through career pathways and financial stability services. Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, you will provide one‑on‑one counseling, workshops, and case management to help clients secure higher‑paying jobs and improve their financial health.

Key responsibilities

• Assess clients' financial challenges, develop Individualized Career Development Plans, and connect them to training, apprenticeships, and employer partners.
• Conduct budgeting, credit building, and banking workshops; follow up at 6‑ and 12‑month intervals to track job retention, wages, and household stability.
• Coordinate wrap‑around supports such as interpretation, transportation, childcare stipends, and emergency assistance.
• Maintain accurate case files, data entry, and compliance with program policies; produce reports for headquarters and funders.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in financial capabilities or career development, preferably in a non‑profit setting.
• Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
• Fluent English with bilingual ability preferred (Spanish, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, or Dari).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
