Financial Analyst - Software Go-to-Market (Hybrid)

About the role

Quorum Software, a rapidly growing company and industry leader in oil and gas digital transformation, is hiring a Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. The analyst partners with Sales and Marketing to provide data insights that support strategic decisions, focusing on budgeting, forecasting and analysing new sales. The role is based in Houston, Dallas or Austin, Texas, with a hybrid arrangement of at least two days per week in the office for Houston and Dallas, and remote with travel for Austin.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and help build new sales analytics and forecasting models
• Perform variance, historical trend, product mix and pipeline analyses and other ad hoc analysis
• Design, develop and deliver accurate reports and dashboards, with validation, reconciliation and error checking built into them
• Support the annual budget process by maintaining and updating the new sales budget model
• Manage and forecast expenses for Sales and Marketing, including detailed commission modelling
• Prepare presentation materials and analyses for Sales Leaders and the Executive Leadership Team
• Automate manual and repetitive reporting to reduce turnaround time
• Review and improve processes such as data organisation, version control and modelling

Required profile

• BA/BS degree in a relevant field
• 2-4 years of Financial Planning and Analysis (or similar) experience
• Experience building scalable, repeatable processes
• Strong aptitude for statistical and quantitative analysis
• Strong interpersonal, team and communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy
• Software industry experience supporting a go-to-market and/or sales function strongly preferred

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office, mainly Excel and PowerPoint
• ERP and planning software such as Workday Adaptive/OfficeConnect, NetSuite and Salesforce
• Data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI
• AI tooling for automation (e.g. Claude)
• Solid understanding of accounting, budgeting and forecasting, and sound financial modelling
