Federal Income Tax - Director or Senior Manager

About the role

Ryan is expanding its Federal Income Tax Consulting practice, focused on Accounting for Income Taxes (ASC 740), across the U.S. It is looking for Directors and/or Senior Managers currently working in public accounting to join the team. Candidates are considered anywhere in the U.S., with preferred locations in Dallas, Washington, D.C. and Pittsburgh.

The role provides income tax consulting services to corporate clients. Depending on level, you may lead, manage and execute federal income tax engagements, or work as an individual contributor.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting and/or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience in Federal Income Tax Consulting, with a proven track record of service delivery and teamwork.
• Deep technical expertise in accounting for income taxes, including hands-on preparation and review of domestic and international tax provisions for public and private companies.
• Regular interaction with employees and clients in person and by email and telephone.
• Independent travel of 30 to 50%, and a standard 50+ hour workweek.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and internet research.
• Familiarity with Workday and Salesforce, which are used at Ryan.
• Valid driver's license.
