Finance Partner (FP&A) - First Hire

About the role

Etched is building hardware for superintelligence and is hiring its first finance team member. You will be a key financial architect behind the company's most critical initiatives, working closely with the executive team to build and implement the financial infrastructure needed to scale. The role reports directly to the Head of Strategic Finance and involves end-to-end ownership of key strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create monthly, quarterly and annual P&L, cash flow and headcount models
• Set up an accounting, invoice and spend management system
• Analyze and recommend pricing strategies and payment plans with the GTM team
• Analyze unit economics and identify improvements in supplier selection
• Model financing options, including lines of credit with suppliers and trade finance for customers
• Build and optimize working capital
• Prepare quarterly board packets and investor materials

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field; CPA, CFA or advanced certification is a plus
• 3-5+ years in FP&A, corporate finance or strategic finance, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment; banking, private equity and consulting experience also welcomed
• Ability to work independently and proactively, with strong quantitative and communication skills

Required skills

• Advanced financial modeling and cash flow forecasting
• Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
• Experience with financial planning software and data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau
