Finance Operations Intern – Summer 2027

About the role

ABB is hiring a Finance Operations Intern for Summer 2027, reporting to the Business Controller. The internship offers practical experience through various projects, with tasks performed as directed and support for ABB's operations. The work model is onsite or hybrid in Portland, TN.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with various teams to support ABB's operations and complete projects on time.
• Use knowledge of customer needs and ABB's offerings to propose suitable solutions for clients.
• Take part in team meetings, brainstorming sessions and other collaborative work.
• Seek feedback and guidance from managers and team members to improve performance.
• Support month-end or quarter-end closing processes.
• Support audit and internal controls activities by organizing and documenting financial records.
• Prepare budget reports for management review.
• Maintain spreadsheets and databases.
• Analyze daily, weekly and monthly financial data and variance reports.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Finance or Accounting in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.

• Expected pay of $20-$34 per hour, depending on qualifications, graduation year and experience.
