Finance Manager - Overhead Cost Planning & Forecasting

About the role

Beiersdorf is looking for a finance professional in Stamford, Connecticut to lead overhead (general and administrative) cost planning and forecasting, acting as a strategic business partner to functional leaders such as Payroll, IT, Facilities, HR and Corporate Services. The role covers cost management, reporting and balance sheet accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead overhead cost planning and forecasting cycles with full ownership and accountability.
• Serve as a strategic business partner to functional leaders through standardized monthly reviews.
• Analyze monthly overhead spending variances against budget and forecast, identifying cost drivers and trends.
• Prepare and post expense reclasses and journal entries for accurate financial reporting.
• Manage cost center structures, reporting governance and chart of accounts administration.
• Review cost allocations and expense drivers for accurate departmental reporting.
• Lead accruals, provisions and other balance sheet accounts, and own planning, forecasting and reporting for Other Income & Expense.
• Deliver variance analysis and financial bridges versus forecast, budget and prior year, and proactively identify risks and opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (MBA or CPA preferred).
• 3-5+ years of experience in a multinational consumer packaged goods company.
• Strong accounting background with deep understanding of the balance sheet and income statement.
• Experience managing general and administrative expenses and handling confidential information.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of SAP, including CO/PA assessment cycles.
• Proficiency in MS Office, with Excel and PowerPoint essential.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and risk management.
• Ability to implement new processes and standardize reporting with stakeholder alignment.
