Finance and Accounting Internship - Summer 2027

About the role

TTI (Techtronic Industries) is hosting a nine-week Finance and Accounting Internship Program for Summer 2027, based in its Group Office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The internship offers a multi-faceted training program and hands-on field experience, with a capstone project at the end. Interns choose between Accounting, FP&A (Financial Planning and Analysis) and ESG tracks, and must live in or relocate to Fort Lauderdale for the duration.

Key responsibilities

• Accounting: support forecasting and reporting with budget-to-actual comparisons, cost center spend reviews and variance analysis; document workflows and partner with business units on financial data needs.
• FP&A: build and improve reporting tools by revamping Power BI dashboards, integrating Oracle HFM data and streamlining manual processes with Power Query, Power BI and Power Automate; prepare monthly financials, management and Board presentations, competitor research and ad-hoc reports.
• ESG: collect, input and validate environmental and social KPIs in systems such as Arcadia and Envizi, document methodologies and timelines, research ESG standards and prepare Board and investor materials.
• Capstone project: work on an ESG initiative strengthening social data reporting, then present findings and recommendations to ESG and Finance leaders.

Required profile

• Enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Analytics and/or Finance (other related degrees considered).
• Junior going into Senior year or Senior going into a 1-year Master's program.
• Familiarity with accounting and finance functions.
• Organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask, communicate well and work independently and in teams.
• Must live in or relocate to Fort Lauderdale, FL; position is in-office full time.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Power BI, Power Query and Power Automate (for the FP&A track).
