Fifth Grade Teacher

About the role

Polk County Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Fifth Grade Teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year. The successful candidate will join a large, award‑winning district and be responsible for delivering high‑quality instruction to a diverse group of students in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with district curriculum standards and the adopted courses of study.
• Create engaging, differentiated instruction that meets the individual needs of each student.
• Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and promote positive study habits.
• Assess student progress, provide timely feedback, and prepare interim and progress reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student achievement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Adaptable, independent, and detail‑oriented.
• Strong commitment to student success and the district’s mission.
• Ability to follow district policies and perform essential duties satisfactorily.
