Field Support Manager Inspections - NY/NJ Metro

About the role

The Field Support Manager Inspections supports operations across the NY/NJ metro regions, with a preference for candidates based in Metro NY due to business volume. The role performs scheduled inspections of store racking and cantilever systems to ensure safety and compliance with National Rack Standards and manufacturer guidelines, coordinating with store leadership on scheduling, findings and training, reviewing materials needs and giving feedback on field trends.

Key responsibilities

• Racking inspections: 80% of the role, performing and reviewing store racking inspections across the assigned territory
• Ad hoc requests: 5%, performed as needed
• Audit review: 5%, reviewing independent engineering audits of inspections for feedback and learning
• Inspection process feedback: 5%, sharing field trends and improvement opportunities
• Safety and compliance: working with store leadership on immediate safety concerns and training on National Racking Standards

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• High school diploma or GED; a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred
• 5 years of work experience preferred, including 1+ year of leadership experience
• Typically reports to the Senior Manager of Inspections and has no direct reports
• Overnight travel required more than 50% of the time; intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion

Required skills

• Preferred: working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Tableau and presentation software such as PowerPoint
• Preferred: collaboration with cross-functional teams, project management, clear communication of complex ideas, negotiation and complaint handling, strong written and verbal communication
