Field Support Administrator – Hybrid (30-40% travel)

About the role

The Field Support Administrator (FSA) plans, coordinates and supports construction projects for restoration, maintenance and deployment of Outside Plant (OSP) fiber infrastructure, including FTTx and GPON systems. The role works cross‑functionally with field operations, engineering, contractors and project managers to ensure quality, compliance and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with Field Operations and contractors to support project planning, execution and restoration efforts.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects from initiation through invoicing/completion, ensuring alignment with timelines, scope and company standards.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, verify quality and ensure compliance with engineering designs and safety standards.
• Inspect OSP work prints and construction activities for accuracy and adherence to standards.
• Review and approve contractor invoices, track project costs and maintain accurate project records.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in OSP/ISP construction, engineering support or project coordination.
• Experience with fiber network deployments (FTTx, GPON) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and ability to travel 30‑40%.

Required skills

• Underground, buried and aerial fiber construction.
• OSP and ISP infrastructure knowledge.
• Interpretation of engineering prints, schematics and specifications.
• Central office configurations, switching and routing (preferred).
• Understanding of construction codes, regulations and compliance standards.
