Field Service Technician (Dallas)

About the role

Evolv Technology is hiring a Field Service Technician for its Global Services team, serving customers across the Dallas-Fort Worth region. The role supports the rollout of life-saving security products, helping the services team with product demos and installations, and providing maintenance, upgrades and repairs to existing field units. It is a field-based position with about 85-95% of the time spent at customer sites, and candidates may live anywhere in the metro area.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair and upgrade equipment, and document work in service reports
• Support product demos and installations, and provide maintenance, upgrades and repairs to existing units
• Train customer employees and security staff on the product and its operation
• Resolve break-fixes independently and complete administrative tasks such as expenses, work orders and RMAs
• Lead special event support activities at venues such as sports stadiums
• Assist in on-the-job training of new personnel and third-party service providers

Required profile

• Ability to travel frequently (85-95% of the time) and work occasional evenings, weekends and holidays
• Strong customer relationship building and communication skills
• Teamwork, initiative and adaptability
• Understanding of the technical aspects of the products, including hardware and software

Required skills

• Troubleshooting hardware and software issues using wiring diagrams and schematics
• Scheduled software maintenance and upgrades
• Project management and inventory and supply chain knowledge
