Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technology

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home, an NRG‑owned leader in connected home solutions, as a Field Service Professional in Fort Worth. You will be the face of the brand, installing cutting‑edge smart home equipment while identifying opportunities to enhance customers’ safety and convenience.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems at customer residences.
• Assess each home on‑site and recommend upgrades or additional services that meet the customer’s needs.
• Educate homeowners on system operation, ensuring they feel confident using their new technology.
• Maintain accurate service records and report any issues to the support team.
• Participate in ongoing training and coaching to improve technical and sales performance.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑first attitude with the ability to build rapport and act with integrity.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service‑based sales is a plus.
• Willingness to learn technical installation skills; prior experience in cable/satellite install, construction, pest control, or solar is helpful.

Required skills

• Installation of security cameras.
• Installation of smart locks.
• Installation and troubleshooting of home automation systems.
