Field Service Professional – Smart Home Installation

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home, an NRG owned company, to install, service and support industry‑leading smart home technology. You will build trusted relationships with customers while delivering exceptional service and helping create safer, more connected homes.

Key responsibilities

• Install and service smart home security, thermostat and automation systems, including cameras and smart locks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and educate customers on product features.
• Conduct onsite evaluations, recommend equipment upgrades or service enhancements, and generate additional earnings through uncapped commissions.
• Maintain quality, safety and installation standards while managing daily appointments, work orders and equipment.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass background, drug test and licensing requirements.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills with a professional, integrity‑driven approach.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, pay attention to detail and contribute to a team environment.

Required skills

• Installation and servicing of smart home security systems.
• Thermostat and home automation system installation.
• Camera and smart lock setup.
• Troubleshooting of technical issues in smart home devices.

What we offer

• Competitive hourly base pay ($25.35‑$27.60) plus uncapped commission.
