Field Service Professional – Smart Home Technology

About the role

Join Vivint Smart Home as a Field Service Professional, the front‑line expert who installs and maintains cutting‑edge smart home equipment for residential customers in the San Jose area. You will combine technical installation with consultative sales to ensure homes are safe, connected, and energy‑efficient.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, and troubleshoot security cameras, smart locks, and home automation systems at customer residences.
• Assess each home on‑site and recommend upgraded devices or service plans that enhance safety and convenience.
• Educate homeowners on system operation, ensuring they feel confident using their new technology.
• Maintain accurate service records and report any issues to the support team.
• Participate in ongoing training and coaching to improve technical and sales performance.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑focused attitude with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Sales mindset – experience in retail, B2C sales, insurance, or service sales is a plus.
• Reliability, integrity, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
