Field Sales Engineer – Seattle & Northwest Washington

About the role

The Field Sales Engineer will drive sales of Walter USA cutting‑tool products and services across Seattle and Northwest Washington. You will act as a technical liaison, delivering value‑added solutions that match customer needs and support the company’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute sales activities based on market analysis and company strategy.
• Schedule and conduct productive customer visits, preparing agendas that address specific requirements.
• Listen actively to uncover customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate product and process alignment.
• Negotiate agreements in collaboration with customers and partners.
• Promote the full range of Walter USA products and services.
• Generate sales orders by presenting value‑added proposals.
• Document and report sales activities, test results, cost‑savings, and forecasts.

Required profile

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration with a technical focus, or equivalent experience in the cutting‑tool industry.
• Several years of sales experience focused on new‑business development for industrial cutting tools, or manufacturing experience with end‑user and channel sales.
• Experience working independently from a home or virtual office and willingness to travel extensively.
• Valid driver’s license and residence in the Seattle/Northwest Washington area.
