Field Organizer – North Carolina & Georgia (Southern Region)

About the role

NextGen America is looking for a passionate Field Organizer to lead youth‑focused voter registration and engagement efforts across campuses in North Carolina and Georgia. The role involves traveling to multiple colleges, building volunteer networks, and driving progressive voter turnout among 18‑29 year olds.

Key responsibilities

• Register thousands of young voters and collect plan‑to‑vote forms on target campuses.
• Meet weekly and phase metrics for voter contact, event turnout, and data reporting.
• Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers through phone‑banking, text‑banking, and on‑the‑ground outreach.
• Collaborate with college administrations and student clubs to expand civic participation.
• Plan and host in‑person, virtual, and community events to boost voter engagement.
• Develop partnerships with local community groups and student organizations.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to youth political engagement and progressive values.
• Comfortable mobilizing personal and community networks.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time and work flexible campus‑based schedules.
• Experience meeting quantitative field goals and managing volunteers.
