Field Measure Representative, Flooring

About the role

The Measure Technician (In-Home Advisor) is a part-time, field-based role supporting customers in Dallas, Texas and surrounding areas. Working independently in a traveling field capacity, the associate performs in-home flooring measure appointments, creates and maintains customer relationships, takes measurements, reviews quotes and coordinates installations within the Measurement Services center Field Services Organization. The position reports directly to the Assistant Market Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Complete daily routes for pre-assigned measure appointments as efficiently and accurately as possible (60%).
• Ask customers open-ended questions about their projects and product needs, describe product features and project steps, and identify opportunities to engage customers in other services programs (35%).
• Review measurements, calculations and quotes, and present them to customers with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and sales productivity.
• Cooperate with associates, supervisors and managers on other work activities (4%).
• Follow policies, procedures and the work schedule (1%).

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of previous related work experience.
• Reliable transportation; travel between locations is required.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift or carry material of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).
