Field CTO – Telecom Solutions

About the role

The Field CTO acts as a technical visionary and trusted advisor for telecom operators, supporting day‑to‑day technical matters and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role bridges Circles’ SaaS platform capabilities with the business needs of telco customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pre‑sales engagements, showcase BSS software, deliver demos, PoCs and technical presentations.
• Design end‑to‑end BSS solutions that address billing, revenue management, CX and service provisioning while aligning with customer infrastructure and regulations.
• Collaborate with Country GM, sales, product, engineering and customer success to drive solution‑oriented conversations and influence product strategy.
• Provide post‑sales support, act as customer advocate internally, and ensure seamless deployment and issue escalation.

Required profile

• 15+ years in telecommunications, BSS software or related fields.
• Proven experience in pre‑sales, solution architecture or technical sales, preferably with major operators or tier‑1 vendors.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and leadership abilities.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of BSS platforms (billing, CRM, revenue management, service delivery).
• Understanding of telecom networks and protocols (5G, OSS/BSS integration, NFV, SDN).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with APIs, micro‑services architecture and third‑party system integration.
