Fiduciary Accounting Analyst

About the role

Howden Re is a global reinsurance broker and risk, capital and strategic advisor. As a Fiduciary Accounting Analyst you will join the Fiduciary Accounting Team, monitor Fiduciary Bank Accounts and work with internal clients to ensure proper payment processing. You will also help improve team processes through ad hoc projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor Fiduciary Bank accounts for daily activity
• Process cash receipts and apply cash against the appropriate invoices
• Monitor the unallocated cash listing and work with Accounting and Claims to apply cash in a timely manner
• Cash payment processing: review, release payments in the system and upload them to the bank for approval
• Assist in maintaining client payment instructions in the system and in online banking systems
• Daily system activity reconciliations
• Miscellaneous projects as assigned

Required profile

• 2 or 4 year degree in Accounting or Finance
• Reinsurance Fiduciary Accounting experience is a plus
• Legally authorized to work in the US
• Proven team player with excellent communication and organizing skills

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Excel
• Understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles
• Operational skills such as process and procedure knowledge, data analysis and attention to detail
