Federal Work Study Marketing Assistant (RLL)

About the role

The Marketing Assistant supports Residential Living and Learning (RLL) at East Texas A&M University by creating and managing content that promotes housing events, resources, and community initiatives. This work‑study position is on‑campus and requires a valid Work Study Permit.

Key responsibilities

• Create, schedule, and post content across RLL social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) to engage students.
• Design flyers, graphics, email templates, infographics, posters, digital ads, and short video clips for event promotion.
• Draft and edit email communications to students, parents, and staff, ensuring brand consistency.
• Capture photos and videos at residential events for future marketing use.
• Collect engagement metrics from social media and email campaigns and produce basic reports.

Required profile

• Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at East Texas A&M University.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.25 (undergraduate) or 3.0 (graduate).
• Positive conduct record with RLL and the university.
• Valid Work Study Permit at the time of application.
