Federal Cloud Financial Operations Lead (Security Engineer II)

About the role

Deloitte's Cyber team is hiring a Project Federal Cloud Financial Operations Lead (Security Engineer II) in Rosslyn, Virginia, within its Engineering and Product - Security Engineering practice. The role leads cloud financial management for federal environments and works on a project basis under the Project Delivery Talent Model, which focuses on client delivery without business development or promotion expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cloud financial management across AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform for federal environments
• Establish cost allocation, forecasting, budgeting, utilization analysis, tagging and optimization processes
• Develop governance frameworks and reporting aligned with agency policies, acquisition constraints and security requirements
• Analyze cloud spend and utilization data to find cost-management and optimization opportunities
• Partner with cloud engineering, finance, acquisition and program teams to implement FinOps practices and support mission priorities

Required profile

• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for the role
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
• 5+ years of experience in cloud financial management across Azure, AWS and GCP, including cost allocation, forecasting, budgeting, utilization analysis, tagging and cost optimization
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree and experience applying Cloud Financial Operations practices
• Able to travel 10-15% on average

What we offer
