Fatherhood Outreach Specialist 3

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking a Fatherhood Outreach Specialist 3 to support child support initiatives, enforce obligations, and engage non‑custodial parents in Atlanta.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and enforce child support obligations for responsible parents.
• Coordinate child support activities with legal, judicial, and public organizations and conduct administrative hearings.
• Communicate with clients via phone, email, and direct contact to ensure obligations are met.
• Manage a caseload and supervise other case managers or serve as a team leader as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and one year of relevant experience, or high school diploma/GED with three years of relevant experience.
• Two years’ experience at the lower‑level Child Support Services Agent 2 or equivalent.
• Experience working with state, local, or federal government and mentoring/coaching.

Required skills

• Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
