Family Medicine Physician – Emergency & Women’s Health

About the role

Woman’s Hospital is seeking Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible Family Medicine physicians to join a patient‑centered group focused on Emergency Medicine and Women’s Health. Both full‑time and part‑time positions are available, offering a unique blend of family practice, emergency care, and obstetric‑gynecologic services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide emergency care in a low‑volume 10‑bed ED, including treatment of pregnant patients under 20 weeks gestation.
• Collaborate with a 24/7 obstetrician to manage OB emergencies and patients beyond 20 weeks gestation.
• Handle obstetrical, gynecologic, and surgical emergencies under physician guidance.
• Deliver care for victims of sexual assault (age 14+).
• Perform routine family medicine duties and participate in hospital-wide quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑Certified or Board‑Eligible in Family Medicine.
• Strong interest or experience in Emergency Medicine and Women’s Health.
• Willingness to work flexible 8‑ or 12‑hour shifts.
• Ability to function effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Meditech EMR (transitioning to EPIC in 2024).
• Clinical competence in emergency medicine, obstetrics, and gynecology.
