Faculty – Diesel Equipment Technology

About the role

The Southern Regional Technical College seeks a dedicated Faculty member to teach Diesel Equipment Technology. You will deliver industry‑relevant instruction, support student success, and contribute to workforce readiness in Georgia.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, and lesson plans aligned with state standards and accreditation.
• Deliver instruction using innovative teaching methods and instructional technologies.
• Evaluate student progress, provide timely feedback, and document performance.
• Coordinate experiential learning components such as labs, practicums, and internships.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and report no‑shows each semester.
• Request and manage instructional supplies, tools, and equipment within budget guidelines.
• Ensure program licensure, industry certification, and compliance with safety regulations.
• Prepare required accreditation and administrative documentation.
• Provide academic and career advisement to students.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to design and deliver technical curriculum.
• Strong understanding of diesel equipment technology and related industry standards.
• Experience supervising lab environments and ensuring safety compliance.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with students, staff, and faculty.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and faculty evaluation processes.
