About the role
The State of Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Facility Security Officer for the Georgia Regional Hospital in Atlanta. Under supervision, you will patrol assigned areas, detect and prevent crime, and respond to emergencies.
Key responsibilities
- Patrol assigned areas to detect and prevent crime and respond to emergency situations.
- Conduct or assist in investigations involving criminal activity within the facility.
- Operate and inspect emergency vehicles while performing routine and specialized duties.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED (some positions may require Georgia POST certification).
- Completion of required evaluations such as drug screening, TB test, and annual influenza vaccination (exemptions may apply).
- Subject to a national and state background check as a condition of employment.
