Security Guard

About the role

The Security Guard ensures the safety and security of personnel, property, and facilities at Concurrent Technologies Corporation in Johnstown, PA. Working part‑time, the guard performs routine patrols, monitors access, and responds to emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular internal and external patrols, walking up to five miles per shift, and secure doors, windows, and gates.
• Verify identification of employees and visitors, enforce access‑control policies, and maintain accurate duty logs.
• Identify and report hazards, handle moderately complex security issues, and escalate when necessary.
• Respond to fire, medical, or security emergencies, coordinate with first responders, and follow established protocols.
• Assist in training and mentoring entry‑level security staff and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED and basic security training.
• At least 2 years of experience in industrial or commercial property security.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to lift 30 lb regularly.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Required skills

• Operation of shortwave radios.
• Use of basic firefighting equipment.
• Knowledge of security protocols and incident escalation.
