Facilities Project Manager (Temporary) – Columbus, MS

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking a temporary Facilities Project Manager to join its Site Facilities Team in Columbus, Mississippi. The role will lead the planning, budgeting, scheduling and execution of maintenance, repair and capital projects for the helicopter manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate facility planning, budgeting and scheduling with proponent groups and building committees.
• Prepare RFPs, manage architectural and construction services, and oversee leasehold acquisition, build‑outs, renovations and expansions.
• Develop and manage CAPEX plans, conduct site assessments, and ensure compliance with local, state and federal codes.
• Create and maintain project schedules in MS Project, track performance indicators and adjust timelines as needed.
• Manage contracts, monitor contractor compliance, and evaluate performance through KPIs.
• Prepare project reports, control expenditures, and support standards of practice for project management.

Required profile

• 4‑year degree in Engineering or related field and minimum 5 years of engineering, construction management or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years documented project management experience in maintenance, repair or new installations.
• Financial experience for budgeting, tracking and invoicing; ability to read blueprints and construction drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 10 % domestically.
• U.S. Person status under ITAR (U.S. citizen, green‑card holder or ITAR‑licensed individual).

Required skills

• Working knowledge of OSHA, NEC, ISO, NFPA, ANSI, ADA, FAA, EASA and ICAO standards.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, CMMS and SAP.
• Experience with AutoCAD, estimating, budgeting and scheduling practices.
• Ability to interpret technical data packages and manage large construction/renovation projects.
