Facilities Department Coordinator

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Facilities Department Coordinator to join its Site Facilities team at the Mobile, AL manufacturing plant. The role involves managing third‑party service providers for soft‑service facilities such as janitorial, food service, pest control and tenant‑improvement projects, while ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day facility operations for the final assembly line, coordinating subcontractors, monitoring performance against KPIs and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractor activities to minimise impact on manufacturing operations and end‑users.
• Review, approve and process invoices, update ServiceNow tickets, and handle onboarding/offboarding of Airbus personnel.
• Develop and track corrective action plans, and lead monthly/quarterly business reviews with the FM team.

Required profile

• High school diploma plus 5+ years of progressive facilities management experience, including 3‑5 years in a leadership role.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, ISO, NFPA, ANSI and ADA standards.
• Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
• Strong leadership, relationship‑building and problem‑solving abilities.
