Executive Director – Nonprofit Religious Organization

About the role

The Executive Director will serve as the senior administrative leader of Temple De Hirsch Sinai, the largest Reform congregation in the Pacific Northwest. Reporting to the Board of Trustees and working closely with the Senior Rabbi, the ED will guide the organization through a major campus renovation and growth phase while preserving its mission of inclusive, progressive Judaism.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and execution for both Seattle and Bellevue campuses.
• Oversee all operational functions, including finance, human resources, facilities, and technology.
• Manage the administrative team and collaborate with clergy to deliver high‑quality programs and services.
• Drive fundraising, donor relations, and capital campaign initiatives.
• Represent the congregation publicly, fostering community partnerships and civic engagement.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and board governance requirements.

Required profile

• Deep understanding of Reform Judaism and its values.
• Proven senior leadership experience in a nonprofit or religious organization.
• Strong relational, communication, and public‑facing skills.
• Ability to navigate complex change initiatives and multi‑campus operations.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
